Working at Raising Canes has been a challenging experience for myself and my family, as a recent change in the work schedule has placed a significant burden on both my family and personal life. There is a pervasive culture of fear, where workers know that even a momentary lapse in focus could result in immediate termination. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry their whole life, I have never before experienced this level of rigid control and lack of work-life balance. If it were not for the need to support my family, I would have left this job long ago, as the demands have become simply too much to bear.
