Pros

You’ll probably have some of the chillest coworkers who’ll look out for you while you work at Canes.

Cons

The management and hours suck. I feel like I’m constantly walking on eggshells around my manager. Not to mention the fact that they keep hiring workers stating “people keep dropping shifts” but when there are others willing to pick up shifts and even want to work overtime, we can’t because it’s considered overtime while only having worked 19 hrs that week, ridiculous.

Pros

*Great crew made some of my closest friends here *Flexible schedule *Holidays off *Good amount of raises in the first year

Cons

When I first started everything was amazing, got raises pretty frequently breaks pretty often, pretty easy to learn positions, but into my 2nd to 3rd year everything went down hill! No breaks, no more raises, could never meet expectations. * While working at Canes I have come to realize there is a ton of toxicity and drama * HR seems to be there to threaten not help *If you are not a kid you don't matter(I first started when I was 16 am now 20) * They hire managers externally which puts a ton of pressure on the crew members since the managers they hire can basically do as much as a potato *Tons of pressure put on the kitchen crew and scolded if times are even two seconds off * Can get over 120 degrees in the kitchen and you are not allowed fans because they don't want flour flying around *Lots of favoritism *Some of the managers just sit on their phones and don't help *Make a slight mistake you get the boot * Forces toxic positivity, one time I came into work after finding out one of my best friends had just killed himself to find out management was in to check thing's out. One of them noticed me walking in with a frown and told me to smile, I told him my situation and he replied "I'm sorry for your loss but you are at work now, so put on a smile and get to work"
