Low moral

Pros

Company gym is expanding, 2 weeks vacation a yr, will hire without a degree or experience, pretty buildings, tuition reimbursement, health clinic on site, cafeteria, nice supervisors, volunteer opportunities, company happy hours.

Cons

Moral is really low in the lower level departments, burn out is high and new hires rarely last a year. Pay is not competitive and many employees get away with doing the minimum and just slide by. Not many perks besides the standard 2 weeks PTO. Changing positions is almost impossible, they want you to have more experience.

Pros

Great place to work if you're Indian or Russian. Talent Acquisition is the best here than at any company I've encountered so kudos for that. Don't have to sign a noncompete agreement while working here. Great company for any fresh to market hires to do everything wrong. Get your experience and get out. Managers aren't horrible. Work balance depends on which vertical you're in. One team out of the entire IT department hosts potlucks. Lots of old folks (waiting for retirement) that you can acquire knowledge from. Head of internship division does their best to make the program a good one.

Cons

Might run into any issue if you speak English and your entire team is Indian. They create new problems instead of resolving existing ones. Non-existent mentorship program regardless of how much they broadcast how great they are. No opportunities for career advancement regardless of how much they advertise. Frequently swapping out strategies and upper management. Lots of dirty looks and not even smiling at each other in the halls passing by. All of the great managers have left RJ. Lots of micromanagement. If theres a problem concerning a communication barrier in your team (considering that English isn't their first language) they will boot you off instead of working things out. Sexual harassment is sweeped under the rug. People sleeping their way into upper management.

Contract to Hire Success

Pros

After spending several months searching for a job, I was contacted by a recruiter at Eliassen Group regarding a contract role with Raymond James. I have worked with recruiters before and thought this was going to be another dead end. I couldn't have been more wrong. Fast forward and I am now a full-time employee with an organization that truly appreciates people who are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Eliassen Team and thank you Raymond James for giving me a chance to prove myself and make an impact. The day to day job is one that challenges employees but the outcome provides much self gratitude.

Cons

Like any large organization, there are going to be challenges that most people view as cons but for me, I can't say anything has been "negative".
