Pros

It's was a good place to gain management expirance that has served me well in other jobs I have had since leaving.

Cons

Does not provide enough money or benefits for low level mangers. Promotion to highter positions require moving around the county and to be on call 24 hours a day.

Pros

Go to the movies for free Not too difficult Usually a friendly environment A cool industry to work for

Cons

terrible pay View employees and management as "Replacable" Sometimes asked to do much more than your paygrade very little recognition Terrible drama, and unfair politics Always trying to cut costs, including lay offs, and demotions No real job advancement Management makes very little for the amount of work expected No raises, bonuses, etc. Unless full time, no benefits, no PTO, or vacation.

Pros

Experience: You do about 4 different things in one work place. Thats a plus Hours: When big movies come out, co-workers call out, or closing...ONLY Free Movies: Enough said Vacation: You can take off whenever you want, but you better hope you do it before anyone else Hard to get fired: You would probably have to not clock out on your break or when you leave to get even remotely close to getting fired

Cons

Managers, managers, and oh yeah did I say managers? Lazy co-workers: they make up every excuse to not work when big movies come out and not get on register when there's a long line in concession and dont even get me started on the drama ugggh Dangerous procedures in concession: I cant even count how many times others and I have been burn by the popcorn seeds because the lid is busted Poor technical equipment,: I cant even count how many times the computers have froze, crashed & shut down for no reason at all and it always seems to happen when we have the longest lines Doing unacceptable tasks: Cleaning up someones diarrhea, throw up, and blood was NOT apart of my job description. I do NOT get paid let alone get paid enough to even think about cleaning up that nastiness Customers: They are the worst! If they are having a bad day & they dont like the rules of the theater, its your fault and they have no problem taking it out on you. Last time I checked, its my job to serve customers not to be a therapist.
