Pros

Opportunity to really help people in difficult financial situations

Cons

Weekly numbers, quarterly numbers. If you're not where they want you to be then it doesn't matter. And of course every quarter you start back at zero. They constantly add changes that prevent you from earning "Profitable Equivalent" then your performance is judged based on PE scores which also determine if you get a bonus, and you are competing with associates across your entire market. If you work in an low income or poor credit community then you do your best to help the client grow financially and build positive credit. While branches in high income communities with 700+ credit score milk the walk in traffic. Upper management however will tell you that you don't put in enough effort because you didn't get your lending number or PE goal and actively encourage you to find the door if your "not in the right role" because you didn't mean some arbitrary number. Thanks for the $0.25-$0.50 a year raise

Pros

Pay decently well, I got paid $24 per hour, and you get 3-4% increase yearly. 3 weeks of PTO is really nice

Cons

Super sales driven, manager will constantly bug you to makes calls regardless of how much you already made. Sometimes they'll force you to pressure customers into opening an account even if its not beneficial for them. Ended up getting let go because I accidentally opened an account incorrectly, even though I reversed it in 5 minutes and fixed my mistake. HR wont care and try to blame you for everything. Had no prior warnings or mistakes. Tough place to work and you always worry for job stability and security

Pros

It happens to be a job.

Cons

Regions is a company that's in steep decline. Regions has been pushing intense DEI measures including hiring and promoting incompetent people who have no business in managerial roles. Competent people constantly lose out to cliquish sycophantic buttkissers when it comes time for promotion. The systems that one has to work are laughably bad and they're not getting any better. If you are someone who knows how to do your job well, you will be shunned and ostrasized by the crab bucket incompetents who seem to always get promoted before you. Avoid this company at all costs if you have any alternatives. If you dont and just need a job, just be prepared for this reality.
