      Pros

      Some groups had a lot of internal politics, but mine was absolutely wonderful. I worked with kind, intelligent, patient people who always had my back and encouraged me to succeed. I loved my job and would've stayed for the long haul if not for the merger. Employee 401K match and annual profit sharing, unlimited free cokes and juice, and plenty of opportunities to travel across the Southeast with a great group of co-workers!

      Cons

      Audit was very clique-focused. If you weren't with the "in" crowd, you were basically screwed. And if someone with influence didn't like you or were intimidated by you - again, screwed.

      Pros

      Hours, decent vacation, training material is adequate.

      Cons

      Regions core values are a joke, they don't do what is right by the customer, they don't put people first, and they DON'T focus on the customer. Its all about numbers. In the first quarter of 2010, 121 branches are being closed corp-wide. Sales pressure is relentless and is seriously turning away quality customers. Product-pushing ruined every bank that ever made it the primary focus. They hire managers with no banking experience that are clueless to proper policy and procedures.

      Pros

      I have a great team and that makes all the difference in this position. I am happy with my manager and that is also very important. Without those two elements this job could be horrible. It varies depending on the people who are around you.

      Cons

      Very aggressive sales culture. two much emphasis on today instead of building long term success for the future of the company.
