Pros

None...only enjoyed working with the residents and my co-workers.

Cons

All about money, productivity...if you try to put patient's care first you definitively are in trouble...request over 100% productivity... Hired as a fulltime OT,then position reduced to PRN with 2 pay cuts totally 10%, in less then 6 months time of employment. Seems the pay cut does not apply to everyone... PTO policy is weird...each facility staff is allow a certain amount of PTO hours per month and among all full time employees. Also you need to request PTO a month in advance ...again this does not apply to everyone... Sick leave policy: if you call sick for one day, you need a doctor excuse othewise you will not be paid for that day...so let's go to work with our seniors residents and share any bugs we carry that day..great ...!!! And same for family emergency...your Regional director will or will not approve it, depending on your good productivity and good realationship with her/him. Overtime: never paid in full, my contract read "overtime paid 1.5 regular rate and over 80 hours per pay check, as per Louisiana laws. I did not apply for my position, they were desperate to fill it and called me with a lot of promises...but they were all lies...very deceptive and not to be trusted. So if you want to come on board...do your homework first. There were a lot of negative reviews on another search engine...all similar to mine, so this is not personal but just the way they work, no ethics.

Pros

Absolutely nothing!!!!!!! Wish there was a negative star rating!! They act like they hate therapists which is ironic since they make millions from us lowly therapists working for them.

Cons

This company is in the rehab business for 1 thing only--getting the biggest profits!!!! They do not care anything about their patients or employees!! In reading the last few positive reviews its obvious that the corporate management arranged for those false reviews. Reliant keeps saying they have to cut pay and put long term employees at prn status in order to save the viability of the company. Do you think we are stupid??!! As a therapist with 20+ years of experience I know how things work. I've researched other rehab companies and see that no other companies are as extreme and cut-throat as Reliant regarding how they treat their employees. The management team that I have seen is NOT wonderful--they ARE RUDE AND HATEFUL and out of touch with what goes on in the rehab department. How exactly do you achieve 95% productivity as a team when the DOR has to be 75% productive? The only way that averages out is that the staff therapists are 100%. Should you be billing for skilled treatment when you--the therapist go to the bathroom or walk down the hall alone? Yes according to corporate!

Pros

I have worked in the Baton Rouge region for 7+ years and the only therapy company that has been consistent is Reliant. If you don't like a 6% salary cut, how would you like a 16% cut or the lowest 9% from the other therapy providers in town? I enjoy the stability of having a company that will be here long enough for me to use my 401k for retirement and offer me growth opportunities. Speaking only for Louisiana, there's nowhere else to get stability and career growth besides Reliant. I refuse to work for an in-house group. They are all about productivity and have no idea what we do as therapists. On a side note, I love how accessible their management team is...I sent an email to their top exec last week and got a response in 1 hour.

Cons

I wish they hadn't moved the Baton Rouge benefit staff to Dallas. I liked being able to see them face-to-face during benefit enrollment.
