Pros

The people, the autonomy, the flat organization that allows for quick decisions and great visibility into how the business works. I love that I get to regularly interact with marketing, finance, engineer, etc!

Cons

Occasional lack of clarity on scope of roles and specific responsibilities primarily due to growing at an accelerated pace and trying to maintain a lean team.

Cons

Sometimes ambiguity can make ramping up a challenge, however for a startup, it's to be expected. I've worked for large organizations with more ambiguity, so it's not a major pain point. Also, the snacks. You might gain the "Remitly 15."

I care a lot about people and culture so that means a lot. I agree that smaller companies can have more ambiguity but, if you feel like there is anything that we can do to improve here, I'm definitely open to ideas. And great reminder to continue to focus on transparency and recognizing employee accomplishments. That's always our goal. Hope you're continuing to have a great time at Remitly! I would just add that we're the lucky ones to have you as part of the team!
