Pros

- The team in the US and Cork are very nice and supportive - You get a good health insurance - You learn a lot - Kind of flexible

Cons

- Unfair work placement - Toxic environment - No transparency - Bad organisation - The worst place I have worked in Lack of communication and transparency. Although you are learning a lot in the role, you are over working yourself with very little pay. Lies during the hiring process, they tell you one thing and sell you benefits that you don’t really have. Employees are underpaid and not treated fairly, with more than one person having to leave the company due to depression and anxiety, since some management play a lot with employees mental health by bullying them and gaslighting them. Hire management avoid talking about the situation although multiple people have complained to HR in the US and since they don’t have it in Ireland. Used to think the CEO cared but after seeing how bad things have been for many months, you can see that no one cares about the employees in the Cork office, they are just trying to over work them and underpay them.

Pros

Good location and good snacks

Cons

Communication is not effective. Show no respect for their employees or their welfare. Zero empathy or care for their employees daily. Lied from the moment of hiring and makes promises that withdraw days later, even knowing that the employee is counting on what was promised. said if you are not happy, leave

Pros

Colleagues were great - team managers are all great to work with

Cons

Coming in off the gate making promises such as work from home and set shifts which they tend to pick and choose to remove as they wish. Higher management and global site leads rubbing their own egos on LinkedIn about how they think they're saving immigrants by working for Remitly, meanwhile they give the immigrants that work under them horrible working conditions and poor management. Just such a total lack of ownership across the board. HR are a lovely mixture of meek and completely useless. Hard to take confidence when they don't know how to work a Google Drive sharing feature or how to properly format an email. And that's only when they decide to actually be in office. They'll lie to cover their own backs at their poor decision making. They didn't want to fire someone who was threatening associates with physical harm and homophobic/racist comments - wanted them to continue working alongside for at least 4 months extension due to their fear for the companies reputation. Said associate ended up resigning themselves - great leadership shown here. Have no words to describe the facilities besides it being a joke - thats before they're shouting or not enforcing proper hygiene and blaming it on those who have the use the office. Management is half offshored to Managua who have zero visibility and pick favorites based on incorrect data and often come up with laughable outcomes. Call center rejects man the hull welcomed with open arms to Remitly to make it the finest call centre in Cork. If their hubris measured up to their talent or business acumen maybe the place would have some shot at success. That's if they're not too busy making harmful remarks surrounding mental health and lying through their teeth that is. Blatant lies, gaslighting and lack of fair processes seem to be the real company values. Luckily I kept all record of interactions they advised they 'investigated' and found no record of. Oops!
