Pros

Willing to train in all areas

Cons

Terrible culture of "Mean Girls". From the manager to the charge nurse to the floor nurses that have been there a while. Never treated so bad in my 30 years in healthcare. Not professional at all. Very sad.

Pros

Renown is an impressive organization. This organization works extensively in supporting community health. Renown offers career development, tuition reimbursement, loan repayment and other decent benefits. The organization welcomes students in multiple areas of expertise. Some departments show impressive collaboration and teamwork. Employees work very hard and are committed to patient care.

Cons

Employee recruitment and retention is a major problem in the laboratory. Poor training, favoritism, and bullying contribute to the laboratory culture and excessive turnover. Question workload and serious concerns, and feedback from leaders will include, “Renown isn’t for everyone.” Entrenched leadership is held unaccountable in the laboratory. Managers demonstrate weak or low emtotional intelligence often unaware of the negative impact their words and actions can have on others. It wasn’t unusual to hear the words, “Thats how we’ve always done it.” Leadership operates in a silent state of continual overwhelm contributing to employee disengagement.

Stay out of the kitchen

Pros

Many of us young people can work here part time while going to school

Cons

This is in no way a job I would ever recomend doing long term. Trayline is a nightmare everyday, the entire kitchen as a whole is unorganized, dirty, and chaotic everyday. The management really seems to just be winging it from day to day, and shows no real leadership qualities, they are usually in a bad mood and are not easy to talk to. The turnover is really high with mist just staying only a few months, the work is crazy we are driven like slaves, they put a phrase on the board in the cook part of the kitchen saying "work harder than the person next to you" really thats my motivation? The pay is not that great and we can easily find another job with a comparable salary that wont mistreat us.
