Pros

Good maintenance and great flying comfortable jets. Fellow crew members made a grueling schedule possible.

Cons

Scheduling was often curt and unprofessional when contacting crew members. Spent 8 years without a union contract. Mgmt used every delay possible until they could no longer recruit enough pilots to staff the airline. The airline is currently in bankruptcy resulting from these staffing issues.

Pros

-Excellent flight benefits with all 3 major airlines plus many more after 6 months of work -Great coworkers -Flexible schedule -Good pay for a regional After reading reviews I was skeptical about going to work for Republic but everything I've read has been absolutely wrong. If you do your job right and don't get caught up with the negativity/bad habits of some flight attendants and just have fun this company will be a blast to work for. I must say it also depends on where you're based. I've had nothing but good experiences with this company from coworkers to benefits to the hotels they put us in for overnights. The pay I think is good for a regional and is enough for me to get by. There are plenty of opportunities to make extra money picking up trips. This is an excellent starting company it will really give you a feel if you would like being a flight attendant or not.

Cons

-Paycheck deductions The deductions for various things can sometimes be a bit disheartening seeing 50% of your paycheck vanish every now and then. -Union

Pros

Great coworkers, and good benefits (health and flight). The co-workers are the best thing about this place! This could be a good stepping stone if you are fresh out of college and looking for entry level work, just know that you likely won't stay here.

Cons

MANAGEMENT!! Heed my warning, depending on the department, management is potentially a huge issue. It was ultimately why I left the company after being there for years. Bottom line, the management doesn't care about their employees, they have favorites that get the star treatment, but they overlook the hard work of all other employees and are completely inconsiderate, rude, and inflexible with you unless you are the "chosen one" in the department. If you thrive off positive feedback, want to grow in your career, or want to feel valued and fulfilled by your hard work, this is not the company for you. Work/life balance. Forget about work/life balance if you work here, there is no such thing. You should be grateful to get weekends and holidays off if you work at HQ. Salary is just ok, but I've noticed they have reduced the pay for most HQ positions over the last year by as much as 1/3, so you may not get what you deserve pay wise. Although the flight benefits are nice, the salary is so low compared to the industry that you probably should work somewhere else that would pay you more and you could spend some of the extra pay on confirmed seats on flights.
