Pros

When I first took the job, I wasn't sure how long I'd stay. Now that I've been here a while, I'm not sure when I'd ever leave. Very professional company, great working environment, collaborative, positive atmosphere, great pay, good food, excellent benefits and time off. Gym at the office complex is excellent. Company is willing to drop $$$ on employees when it counts. Engineering has excellent leadership. Folks here are excited by technology and talk about it constantly. People work hard to get things done and we've built a great product together. We're constantly getting new Engineers in our team, and so many are incredible, talented folks, old and young, women and men, diverse. Bigger companies won't have the same type of familial culture that you'll find here. I consider it a plus that the company is relatively unknown in the blogosphere. Leadership is accessible and available to just chat. Management is friendly. Fairly transparent. Smaller companies might only be better if they're offering a huge amount of stock and decent pay. We are growing fast and have incredible potential for reward for people who work hard. There are definitely rewards and potential for growth. I can't imagine working anywhere else, so I guess that's a win!

Cons

The Redwood City office is off the beaten path and makes it hard to get to work. Building sometimes has problems. Engineering needs to slow down a bit and commit to more best practices. Software infrastructure needs work. Apparently there are a few disgruntled employees refuse to leave and sully the mood, especially by writing bad reviews here. They complain, but won't follow their own advice and leave. I don't really know what to say to them. This is a good ship to be on, so I figure they can go where they grass is greener and I hope they don't look back and realize they were wrong.

Pros

Dealing with lots of new technology. New office location with beautiful bay views. Open office -- no one, not even the CEO has an office -- everyone has the same electric standing/sitting desk Buddha Lounge -- a low light, no talking room for working, meditating or napping -- one of the many great things the new HR Director has done! Pool table/Ping Pong table Catered lunch every Wednesday with a wide variety of cuisines always with a vegetarian and salad option, paid lunch credit 2 more days a week Opportunity to work in the social media domain which is thought to be the next big thing. A mature startup that is well-funded but still in high growth mode so there are a lot of fun projects to do Open and relatively unpolitical organization, everyone is upfront with each other. Lots of diversity in the workforce and it is clearly valued. Dungeons and Dragons game every other Wednesday evening.

Cons

Hard not to gain weight with all the free snacks! Location is a bit off the beaten track if you like to go out a lot for lunch, though there is an on site cafeteria. There's so much fun stuff to do it's easy to forget the work / life balance The wilder days of being a young startup are gone, as we go through the necessary growth pangs of having a tad more structure -- keep it light.

Pros

Fast paced, hyper growth from an industry leader in a market that is white hot. Reputation.com has the most advanced and well design reputation platform in the ORM industry. We are 18-24 months ahead of our closest competitor and our client list includes many of the most well known brands in the world. The culture is fast paced and demanding. Leadership is exceedingly supportive and our CEO is engaged, accessible and always willing to dive in and assist anyone with any project, client call or problem solving challenge.

Cons

Benefits are good however I'd like to see 401k matching. Communication can sometimes be a problem due to rapid growth but that is somewhat typical for this environment.
