Clientele are ruthless, make ridiculous demands while being "sold" on capabilities that we do not provide. The Sales team and Tech team do not communicate at all, sales worry about their commission more than the capability of their product. This terrible relationship causes strain to the techs who have to shed light on the truth of the software after a client has been sold. The GM even got fired because he would not show up to any of his meetings, would skip work, and was overall dismissive of any concern i brought. I wonder how this office even stands to this day. Couldn't even get 1 raise after a year of faithful work when promised in the interview that I would be given more if I "proved" myself.

Might take a while to get where you want to be. Depends on your motivation for sure. No yearly or cost of living raises. Performance based raises every few years maybe.
