Pros

Uhhhh.... They are willing to hire people with no experience?

Cons

They take more 50% of your pay for two years. They have no hr department (it's outsourced). If you take the training you owe them $36000 unless you work for two years (during which they make over 100k off of your work). The training is filled with lies to scare people into working 100hr/week. You have no say over where you go or what technology stack you work in, and the chief technology officer told us at our graduation that we are all failures who are lucky to be here.

Pros

They gave me the tools and support to get through a tough time in my life with family situations at home and a chance at a future in my field of choice. They offer free housing during the training, free materials, free training, no bills, and a 250 dollar stipend every week.

Cons

It took them several months after completing the training to finish it. There felt like there was little communication between marketing and myself during periods of wait

Pros

There are no pros to working for this company

Cons

Working at Revature was a nightmare, I did the 10 week coding bootcamp and was fired 8 weeks in. I had a background in Computer Science and many of the people had no knowledge of Computer Science. I was largely overworked. I was making minimum wage and working maybe 80 hours a week while clocking in 40. The staff fired me "cheating" on one of the hackerrank assessments by googling a solution to one of the problems. We had previously been allowed to google solutions but for some reason this time we were not. They then evicted me within 2 hours of being fired. As in people came in to the apartment with a universal key and literally helped me pack . I became homeless shortly after and had to go to the hospital for a panic attack. Do not work for this company

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience, especially when it comes to your housing, and so we have followed up internally. Without more information at this point, we can only confirm our policies and encourage you to contact us at ceo-feedback@revature.com in case they were not followed or you did not receive the proper paid accommodations. Our standard housing departure allows for 48 hours to move out from the apartment complexes that we partner with. In rare circumstances (e.g. facility repair issues) some associates have had to move out sooner. In these cases, we reserve a room for associates at a nearby hotel. We also cover the costs for transportation to the hotel as well as the room costs for the same 48-hour period. Once again, if you did not receive this support you may contact us so that we can investigate further for you.
