RSI a good, local employer

Pros

Pros and cons are likely dependent on department and manager (Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Services/Engineering, or Administration). RSI is a very family-friendly place to work. The flexibility and understanding when something family-related comes up is great. Reliable COLA raises, plus some. The annual profit sharing contribution to the 401k is nice, too. For the most part, coworkers are friendly and easy to work with. I enjoy working for a small, locally owned company.

Cons

The Lacey office (headquarters) interior needs some updating. It's a bit dreary. I wouldn't say that RSI does a poor job showing appreciation to employees, but I've worked for companies that have done it better.

Pros

RSI makes it abundantly clear that they care about their employees. Not just their work performance, but about their personal life. RSI has done many things to help me out when I ran into unexpected events that made me think "Woah, they really care". I have had my mind blown with the care RSI gives to their employees, it is phenomenal!

Cons

The Lacey Office doesn't have nearly as fancy coffee machines as the Bellevue Office. But that's really only because this review requires 20 word minimum for the Con's section, otherwise No Cons.

Pros

I have heard and had experiences of management really going above and beyond to treat employees more like they work at a mom and pop business. Not everyone will fit in at RSI, but there are a lot of employees that have spent the majority of their career there.

Cons

Health benefits are partially paid, really should be full benefits.
