Good workplace management with autotomy, meaningful work, good employee resources.

Cons

Difficult transition during recent merger caused many terminations, rebranded to separate from critical marketplace views, lack of visibility into company wide management changes

Pros

Good work life balance. Fully remote. Sufficient compensation. Work is for a good cause (EdTech).

Cons

Leadership completely disconnected from the teams building their products. Leadership susceptible to ruthless cost-cutting and laying off entire teams to hire off-shore and near-shore contractors. Company values claim to do things WITH teams, not TO teams, but management has no power against the hottest trends that leadership falls prey to. Upon acquisition of teams, visionary leaders have been replaced without hesitation by workers who lack understanding of context and communication between teams is crumbling, weighing down the people who remain (for now). My advice? Use this company as a stepping stone and/or simply work your wage — the company's long-term survival will suffer due to their hiring practices.
