Pros

Extremely generous benefits package. Great working environment, they tend to hire experienced, former government and military personnel with proven track records, so everyone is competent, hard working and dedicated. The management takes care of the employees. Even though hard work is expected, the company respects balance of life for its people and provides generous vacation and sick time benefits.

Cons

A small organization that is almost totally dependent on defense spending. Loss of a single contract could significantly and negatively impact the workforce.

Disfunctional HR/Recruiting Department

Pros

Good health benefits, generous PTO

Cons

The HR/Recruiting department is constantly having to put out fires because there’s a lot of work but for some reason management takes forever to provide more support. HR Management is very hesitant on making decisions and decisions are made on what they feel “comfortable” with. There is also constant turnover. Contract recruiters can work from home, however, that same opportunity is lacking for permanent recruiters. It is expected that the TA Manager also recruit for extremely hard roles while also managing a team and Business Leads. They make you wait 3 years in order to be vested in their non contributory retirement plan...as if we were working for the government and they don’t match.

Management does't like titles

Pros

You will get a paycheck

Cons

Upper management has been promoted but not on merit so they struggle to understand how to lead. The CEO is out of touch and does not truly care about the people at all. The best people are leaving one after the other. Although customer service is key, management cares as little for their customers as they do their own people. No advancement opportunity. They put you in a role and forget about you. If you don't like it, they will show you the door.
