Pros

There really isn't much to say for this category. The individuals who work here are, generally, great colleagues but...

Cons

Micromanagement. Do NOT even think about taking a lunch break. If you want to leave 1 minute before 5:30 you better have special permission. Catty management. When "the big guys" come into the office it's like Mrs. Trunchbull is in town. If you do a good job, great, no one cares. Want to advance and move up in your career? Nope. Not happening here. Awful. Terrible. The worst job I've ever had.

Pros

They really teach you the business. Learning the business here is like going to a prestigious college. No staffing firm is even midly able to compete with this training program. Unfortunately, they throw you into the deep end and expect results instantaneously.

Cons

No matter how well you do, you are only as good as your last sell. Max Messner preaches ethics first, but seems perfectly okay with his company coming back to his commission based employees and asking them to take continuous pay cuts and has the audacity to ask the managers at his company sell it to the employees as a benefit. Since everyone in the company must pay for their seat before bonusing this seems completely ridiculous. Additionally, the company sponsors "a volunteer toy drive program" at Christmas time, but then keeps track of how many toys each employee donates, and badgers each and every employee for not giving the most. Additionally, they ask their employees to use it as a sales technique to bring in clients. No matter how you slice it this is a sales ploy and done only under the guise of making Robert Half Inc. look charitable. Additionally, Robert Half does state of unions where they ask for suggestions in an "anonymous box", but then go through the questions to ensure only the easy to field questions are picked. It is seen as a complete and under joke by all employees and fools no one. Lastly, managers are promoted not based on their performance, but based on their ability to micromanage, and control their employees, but any means possible.

You're either sales royalty or you're expendable and overlooked, bottom line.

Pros

If - and only if - you're a high-producing salesperson, and you drink the culture kool-aid, you'll be paid VERY well with multiple bonuses, perks, etc.

Cons

There is an LARGE divide between how the salespeople are treated/compensated vs. the administrative staff, who are full time professionals, some of whom have many years of tenure. Even so, these admins are NOT compensated near as well as they should be, and nowhere near the sales staff who get exorbitant bonuses and lavish celebrations. Administrative staff are still paid HOURLY, even after 10, 15+ years of service, yet no salary options. WHY?? Additionally, NO production bonuses for admin staff outside of the occasional gift card or possible company-wide stipend to correct for inflation, etc. They've done a couple, and they're appreciated and needed, but... there's still a glaring difference and don't think the admin staff don't see it. They do, and they feel it, and it damages morale. If there wasn't such a vast divide between how these roles are viewed, valued, and treated by upper management, this would be a MUCH better company.
