Pros
Commission (if what matters to you is money and only money, and if you are ready to accept stress, poor work culture and colleagues who back-bite as a part of your daily work routine!)
Cons
Poor leadership, leaders who compete with you to make their own commissions, leaders with no leadership skills, more and more work pressure which the leaders start building on you from day 1, no growth, promotions are only for name sake/ title sake, even the VPs and Directors do the same thing as Account executives - sales and absolutely nothing else, people get promoted on the basis of numbers and not on the basis of their leadership skills, extremely high-pressure targets, they ask you to go on foot (mostly) or take a cab (very rarely) to sell Robert half services to potential clients (firms) and come back and also recruit potential candidates for those firms. You are expected to work on weekends as well as after office hours on weekdays. In case you are unable to put numbers on the board for a couple of weeks, you are fired! Their turnover is more than 70%. They tell you great things about their commissions structure during interviews and how you can end up making tons of money. But what they don't tell you is - (1) you will have to slog for 12 hours everyday if you are to achieve the targets (2) you will have to work on weekends too to be able to meet the numbers (3) your own managers and teammates will compete with you over the same candidate (4) you will be asked to leave in case you are unable to put the numbers on board for more than a couple of weeks (5) it's literally like door to door selling when it comes to bringing in potential clients (6) commissions are good but they come at the cost of sacrificing your personal life for sure. Take a job here only in case you have no personal life, or if you are in desperate need of money with no better alternative source of income. You have been warned, seriously!
