Pros

Work/Life Balance is good Pay is decent for mid-career transfers Immediate team/people easy to get along with

Cons

Struggling in competitive core product, always a few years behind in product development which inhibits ability to compete. The pricing process on products is horrible, requiring many layers of approval and lacks local market intelligence to take share from competitors. Failing at deployment of acquired software companies, lack of vision related to GTM strategy. Engineer & Sales Field support resources have been thinned, due to wall street pressure, this has created massive gaps in coverage surrounding large customer base in North America. Promotes based on DEI, not metrics, this compliments lack of vision, and decreases the opportunity for internal growth for true top performers. Internal culture is missing “sense of urgency”, many employees just seem to not care. Onboarding is basically non existent, internal reporting systems are vast, outdated, and slow. Internal data pulls should not be complicated!

Pros

The workers of the company are wonderful. Meet the right people, and they’ll happily show you the ropes. There are a lot of opportunities to learn industry standards and solutions. Some of the new technology could really benefit the customers if the time is taken to create meaningful solutions that aren’t just about making money and loading up on unnecessary IT/OT.

Cons

Five organizational restructurings in as many years, in a single division. There were countless reshuffles in other divisions, including changing of entire departments into new scopes, elimination of customer support roles, managers being placed in charge of teams and work they have no understanding of. Management is awful. It really feels like they’re flying by the seat of their pants, and their understanding of customer needs is long since passed. Maybe it’s the shuffling that’s causing their inabilities, but it really feels like you’re just assigned work to look busy. No prospect of internal growth, and the advocation for personal growth has waned.

Pros

Benefits were great and I liked the team that I was on.

Cons

Constant re orgs that left people confused and not able to do their job Letting good people go to try and cut costs constantly Constantly changing leadership and goal posts especially in marketing. Keep buying companies and integrating them horribly.
