      Pros

      The money's good, the work is relatively stable, they ask for their employee's opinions on policies, they want to empower their workforce

      Cons

      The pace of aerospace is kind of slow, there is some level of dependence on government contracts, and the future is never really certain because investment required for new technology is very high

      They pay you on time

      Cons

      Do you have an MBA? Hide it. Nobody wants it here. Do you have a nice career outside? People will ask you "why did you come here? This place is a joke." Nepotism, silos everywhere, high turnover, 5 different bosses in a year. Just stay away if you can (If you leave in Mt Vernon, you have not so many choices).

      Exciting and interesting work but constant poor upper management in the UK hinders job performance and satisfaction.

      -Fantastic people; hard-working, intelligent, and fun -Interesting work -Amazing products -Great office location

      Nearly all of the cons are related to parent company (Rolls-Royce plc) not understanding the US market or management problems in the UK: - terrible healthcare (may be similar to market in Indianapolis (large Rolls-Royce facility) but not similar to DC market; - low pay for the work performed; - horrifyingly poor IT (Reston team has much better IT than corresponding teams in UK); - incredibly bureaucratic organization that hinders employees ability to respond to the needs of both the business and its customers; - global company that cannot seem to understand how to function outside the UK.
