Cons

Lacks standard operating procedures. Different managers and adjuster do things different ways. Some adjusters do the bare minimum and no one says a thing

Pros

Root is a non-standard insurance start-up. That means it's not for everyone. If you want easy claims and unchanging procedures, look elsewhere. If you want to have fewer claims and have a bigger impact, with an open culture and more opportunity, Root is the company for you.

Cons

As stated above, it isn't for everyone. The company is a non-standard self-service insurer, so there are a lot of in-depth investigations. Pay is average.
