Pros

-Good medical, dental, and life insurance -Generous PTO

Cons

-Little-to-no upward mobility. I was a Financial Services Representative and basically the only way to get a promotion was for someone in your department to vacate their position. I'm not sure if this is indicative of the organization as a whole, but it seems to be very commonplace for FSRs to never even get the chance to interview for a higher-paying position. -No pay raise in 2013. This one hit us all very hard. The payroll tax expired in January as well, which made it very hard to make ends meet for anyone who didn't earn a lot to begin with. They danced around the issue for several months, and really angered a lot of the employees because they wouldn't give us a straightforward answer. This has led to several people applying for positions at MUSC because they simply pay more.

Pros

Health and life insurance available, paid time off. Enjoyable working environment due to great co-workers.

Cons

Typical corporate environment that can be dismissive when you have concerns. Lack of respect from upper management, office manager was a novice and overwhelmed.

Pros

Friendly environment with diverse job opportunities. Staff are well informed of issues that affect healthcare. My schedule is flexible and the medical benefits are excellent.

Cons

Comparible positions at other institutions pay higher. There are plenty of chances for professional development, but many of the available positions posted are lateral moves.
