No work/life balance

Business Outlook

Pros

Great pay versus the rest of the industry in both salary and bonus pay. Half day Fridays during the summer months. Able to wear jeans on Mondays and Fridays. The company as a whole is growing, so there is opportunity for advancement.

Cons

Stressful and challenging work environment. Most associates work 9-10 hours a day, sometime areas work more. There is way too much management, and not enough assistants/associate to actually do the work needed to grow the business. Location of the office is not in a nice area of downtown.

Great Development/Career Growth

Pros

Personal & professional development and career growth are the hallmarks of working for Ross. If you're accountable, have drive, and are a hard worker, you will go far in this organization. This company is very results driven and demands exceptional performance from both associates and leaders. In return, you'll have a great career path and be developed to your fullest potential.

Cons

Culture is driven on very direct feedback. If you're overly sensitive or "thin skinned," this isn't the right place for you. Work/life balance can suffer easily due to volume of work if you're not very good at planning and organizing.
