Pros

Work truck and unifirms provdided

Cons

A very vague pay structure. Management lied to me every step of the way. I left a good job based on the lies they pounded into my head. I drank the Kool Aid and got burned. In your job has zilch to do with plumbing. It's all about SELL SELL SELL. I didn't work with one licensed plumber. Not one. They rip off customers with astronomical prices and the office staff were mean and rude and unqualified. Stay away and don't even think about applying here. Hard work is met with negative results. 14 hour days based on no commission equals some days working for zero pay. Zero paying days are more frequent than should be allowed by law.

Pros

I was able to assist customers that needed service in emergency situations. I had a very good relationship with many of the technicians and could get them to help cover additional stops to service customers in need.

Cons

Company policy was to book as many customers as possible for same day service even though they knew it was impossible to service all of the customers. we were instructed to book jobs and then call customers after waiting up to 12 hours in some instances and try to reschedule for next day service. Management did not care how sick employees were, they demanded that I come in and work with a broken foot even though I had a doctors note to be off for 3 days. I was told by my immediate supervisor that I didn't need my foot to do my job. he didn't care that I was medicated and supposed to keep my foot elevated. Not to mention that I was in extreme pain, taking a narcotic pain medication and was dealing with nausea from the medication. After being hospitalized 18 months later with MRSA I was fired for missing too much work.....

Pros

From a purely outsiders standpoint, learning about the industry was interesting. But that is the one and only Pro for this job.

Cons

Fishers, IN operation is disorganized and is in a constant state of change brought on by continual management and employee turnover. Outside sales people are looked at as “warm bodies” or “place holders” No thought whatsoever is given to the attainability of sales expectations. A grandiose picture of potential earnings is painted during interviews...then on day one a reality of your great error in judgement is realized. This is a very entry level job that is portrayed as an upper level job. If you are young and starting out, it COULD be worth a try. If you are anyone over 25 years old or who has any drive to earn a solid living...skip right on by this job and keep looking.
