Pros

Company is from Japan and is expecting to expand their store locations at rapid rate. Great place to start for entry level and learn various aspects. You'll be able to learn how a small-medium sized company operates and aims to change to a large sized company. The merit increases can be generous if starting at a lower rate, but they are given as a set amount, not percentage of your current salary

Cons

The flexibility for a change can be limited as the parent company is located in Japan. The final decision must be approved by the parent company and the changes may not happen instantly. Miscommunication can be seen often as some higher ups are Japanese and there can be a language complications with English workers. Would not recommend if you have not worked for any Asian company before

Pros

Best people I’ve ever worked with. - You get to fix arcade/bowling lanes. And test play them. - Get hands on exclusive Japanese cabinets you don’t see anywhere else and set them up. - Fun coworkers you can relate to within the same interest of anime and video games. - Managements are understandable when working in the front line. Can be rough and willing to give you time to take a breather. - Benefits are nice once you qualify after your 90 day evaluation.

Cons

- You’ll learn the worst of humanity at an arcade entertainment business. Night shifts are the worst with the amount of horror stories I’ve heard happening and experienced. (Was mainly on day shift, sometimes night when I volunteer) - Jobs never done. Mainly because customers and children are intentionally breaking things that are out of your control. - HQ changes up on policy really often and a lot of the time makes absolutely no sense. Relations with the front line and higher operations are out of touch and no trust. - There’s not a lot of advancement in the mech department. The highest mech position is a senior tech but you’ll be making a big sacrifice on work/life balance by traveling every month to different states that you’re assigned to. - Uniforms are tacky and embarrassing. Needs to be changed to be more simplistic and modern. - Starting wages could be better with the amount of stuff you have to do and deal with in this industry.
