Pros

Loved the customers. They were the best part of the whole thing. Building that connection with them made it worth it.

Cons

Upper management is a joke. One of the most unorganized places I've ever had the displeasure of working for in all my years.

Pros

Easy job Learn sales skills Good on resume

Cons

Poor pay compared to rest of industry. Cut our hours when minimum wage went up 20 cents. Gave us a grand opening budget of $200 aka enough to only print flyers. Grand opening i remind you. Capped at $10/hr maximum when other companies that do the exact same job, with less responsibilities, start their reps at $11/hr. And the commission structure is worse. Don't let them tell you its minimum wage because they pay more commissions like they told me. Trust me, they pay less commission and less hourly. Expect employees to drive and market all business. Yet they don't trust their employees to do returns, exchanges, discounts, etc..all require a call to corporate which makes the customer wait longer and the employee look bad. Had customers ask why they didn't trust their own employees judgment. Required to make 20 calls a day or you won't hear the end of it. Or you will get written up. May as well be at a call center. Manager lacked any knowledge of the wireless industry and had to ask us employees simple things. Worst selection of accessories. Worst premium retailer ive stepped into. No security system or cameras could end up very bad for some employees. Stay away

Pros

When you are not at risk of having upwards of $1000 being removed from your paycheck, selling phones can be fun.

Cons

- Training is always a combination of: barebones, outdated, misleading, or incomplete - Verizon integrations are laughably antiquated - Every single transaction can backfire and leave an employee vulnerable to pay deduction/termination - Training materials are literally unavailable for tablet-centric stores, as the internal resources are inaccessible unless viewed on a computer - Every single process has at least 2 or 3 points of failure. This can lead to missing activations or device payments or trade-ins etc. - RQ - The company fired so many talented salespeople that they had to lower the biweekly sales quota to ensure they had the bare minimum of people for the holidays (at the time of writing this, one week before Black Friday, our 3-rep sister stores are running 1 rep each) - ^ ironically spending as much as possible on useless integrations with non-essential communication and barely-workable sales platforms - Birthday cards are the EXACT same for every employee; that is, it has no name or reference to the recipient. Insulting (RC Cares lol sure it does) - You have to call in to Home Office for almost any issue that pops up - Likely to lay off more people once the holidays are finished
