Good place to start if you want to be ATC

Pros

If you want to be an air traffic controller with no ATC background this is a good place to start. Can learn phraseology and ZMP airspace rules and regulations.

Cons

Hours are early 6:30am to 3pm

OK employer, but the pay's nothing to write home about.

Pros

Easy to work with and for. Direct supervisors have always tried to be flexible and accommodate employee's situations.

Cons

Honestly, the pay is pretty mediocre. I make little more than minimum wage (I live in a high CoL area). If these guys weren't so easy to work with I'd have left a long time ago. Turnover here is really high, I think partly because of the low pay. Instructors and RPOs are constantly jumping ship for better paying gigs elsewhere.
