Pros

Company store discounts and gym on site

Cons

There are a lot of marginal managers here that are probably the worst I have experienced in my life. They encourage a very political atmosphere. Plus they have very unreasonable expectations. The company does not believe in a work from home approach. It is a severe disadvantage. It is a company stuck in the 1990s. I would not recommend this place at all.

We're proud to offer the benefits you've mentioned as well as a variety of programs that support the varying needs of SCJ people - not only in their work, but also in their lives outside of the office. We value the dedication of all SCJ people to work hard every day to help uphold the trust and goodwill we’ve earned from our consumers and communities for more than 130 years. Regarding your concerns about management and expectations, we encourage you to reach out to your local HR for a deeper discussion, or you may choose to contact the confidential hotline that is available via our intranet to share your thoughts anonymously. We strongly believe SCJ people are able to achieve their best when they can collaborate and work together in person. Pros

Many hardworking employees, benefits are decent.

Cons

Poor annual increases. Hard working employees treated poorly. They say they are a family company but are forcing employees back to the office when job can be done at home successfully claiming we need to collaborate. Cases are at a record high and we should come back and sit behind plexiglass.

We believe SCJ is stronger as a team when we can work together in-person, for the benefit of our consumers and the communities we serve. As our priority is the health and safety of our people, we are committed to doing things the right way. Great care and investment have gone into preparing our offices around the world for a safe and successful return. We also understand there may be circumstances that might make it challenging for SCJ people to return, whether it’s childcare, transportation issues, or if a person is more at risk from a health perspective. Through a confidential, HR-led process, SCJ people may submit requests for exceptions and pursue alternate considerations.
