Pros

Your coworkers will most likely be good people and your job will have security, decent insurance. You will get decent experience with tech/tech sales.

Cons

Pretty much everything. PTO and pay is not in line with the market (despite what HR will respond with here on Glassdoor). Systems, training and view on WFH policies are outdated, as well as the overall vision of the company. It has long been time for Thai and other execs at this company to retire and revamp the company, they are very much stuck in the past and don't wish to change here. The saddest part is that HR continually asks for feedback but does nothing with it when they receive it but host a webinar making vague references to things they might change every few months (but shockingly, nothing changes). No one usually leaves their department on these reviews because they are scared of leadership at SHI, because they are unapproachable and don't know how to take constructive criticism. If you're looking for a job, consider looking elsewhere or get your experience for a year and move on.

Pros

Looks good on your resume, occasionally get free food left over from meetings

Cons

So many, undperaid being top of the list. Toxic people. People from other departments trying to tell other people how to do their job. No teamwork, everyone looks to shift the blame. People make up rumors and spread gossip. Terrible hours

Pros

Good foot in the door for tech sales. A lot of technology exposure.

Cons

Disparate systems that are clunky and old. LOW base pay, it's unaffordable to live in Austin starting out here without supplemental income. Drink the Kool-Aid to be "in" with management. A lot of turnover. Kept a notebook of the sexist, racist and homophobic slurs that happen daily on the sales floor. No career plan for advancement.
