      Decent place to work, poor salary for area

      Pros

      A pretty decent place to work as a PostDoc, you are mostly shielded from shenanigans happening in the (many) levels of management above you.

      Cons

      The Bay Area is ridiculously expensive especially around Silicon Valley - Menlo Park, Atherton, Mountain View. You won't save much money unless you are extremely frugal, you will have to live with roommates to save anything at all.
