Pros

All of the negative reviews about this job is probably coming from employees who didn't want to work. If you go into work every day try you hardest and show your reliable and willing work you will have a really awarding outcome. I've worked here for just over 5 years and couldn't be happier. I've moved up make great money and the benefits are just a plus. I've watched this company grow over 5 years and they are heading in the right direction.

Cons

Negativity from older employees who are not willing to change as the company grows. New hire kids not willing to work/use to having everything handed to them.

Pros

Free insurance other than that not much

Cons

They took our over-time with very little notice and expect us to be able to stay whenever they tell us we are even though we have been on 8's for months. Management is a joke and there are certain people that think the place revolves around them. They have the highest turnover rate I have ever seen. Also they reward laziness and get rid of good hard working people if you don't adhere to their demands

Pros

You'll get the job....pretty much no matter what. They'll hire anyone (i.e. they're desperate; cannot hold employees)

Cons

Poor management on nearly all levels. Company management think very, VERY highly of themselves and are unapproachable. You will be worked beyond your comfort level, and paid less than you are worth. Be very careful how and when you take sick and vacation days; you'll be told that you are unreliable if they think you are using your time off in any way that doesn't line up with what would be best for them, not what's best for you. Right now you might just be some young guy looking for a decent paying job, something temporary, a couple years. By the time that year or two is up, you'll be comfortable; because of the "competitive" pay, you might not be able to find another job in the area that starts off at the same wage you make when you want to leave, so you'll get stuck like so many others. Believe me when I tell you that there are several veteran employees at this business that work on the factory floor, not making much more than $20 an hour... It took them a decade or so to get that much, and they haven't received proper wage increases in years. Do you want to be making just $40k a year when you *try* to retire? Not me... Plus, having to listen to the other two hundred unsatisfied employees groan about how they'd like to leave, every day, gets old fast. There are two reasons SCE has a turnover rate of over 100 employees every year... 1) People are getting wise to how awful it is to work here (the tri-cities community has exactly zero respect for how this company treats its employees). and 2) They fire people on-the-spot for reasons you never thought you'd see. You deserve better.
