Pros

Good benefits Can't really think of much more than that.

Cons

Poor management Poor hours Poor coordination All you really need to do is smooch they right persons butt to move up here. Don't need to be knowledgeable or even good at your job and you'll move right on up. Company finds reason to weed out experienced employees to bring in a fresh crop. A lot of favoritism. All evaluations written by HR seem to be copy and pasted off of a template. The results of them rarely make sense and if you dispute something on your eval they will only pretend to care and say they will "look into it" . I wouldn't wish this job on my worst enemy unless they want temporary work for a year or two.

Pros

insurance, cheap dental, 401 k, vacation and sick days, unmatched training in skilled trades, set schedule. SCE is a great place to work if you are willing to work a honest days work for a honest days wage. The insurance is excellent for me my wife and daughter. In two years I have learned to mig and tig weld, drive a fork truck, use an overhead crane, powder coating, basic assembly production, and I am very excited to learn the fabrication process. were else can you get hired in a shop at a competitive wage and get taught a skilled trade with no experience? the pay is good and they are not shy about giving raises if you have earned them. only job I have ever worked were I received a shop wide raise ( 60 cents, which is better than previous employers have giving me on a year eval.) The hours and work are demanding but if you work hard and give an honest attempt you will make more money and have better advancement through the company. lots of internal applications for a ton of jobs. Its nice when a company hires with in. One of the first times in my life when I am excited to go to work and learn. Career not a job.

Cons

none at the moment and ive been with them 2 years.

Pros

-Lots of hours -OK pay -free health care -cheap dental insurance -Production employees are generally good people

Cons

-50-63 hour work week -Unprofessional supervisors -Employees are treated throw away -Shift premium is pointless due to second shift employees lacking hours compared to first -Work pace is too fast for most people, and if done to satisfaction you're body will not handle it very long -No entertainment aloud during work hours (phone is not aloud around you, no radio, talking will be scolded upon if enough work is built up) -Daily changing rules and quality procedures you can never keep up with
