The employees treat each other like family. Every department helps each other in a time of need. Beautiful property with an inspiring owner.

Cons

The pay could be better for the level of service the employees provide. The location is remote and therefore trouble keeping the hard working employees.

Disconnect between corporate office and properties. The turnover rate is alarming, mainly because those who leave do so willingly.

I am sorry about your experience at our company. Are you reviewing Salamander Resort & Spa (SRS) or another one of our companies down South? We have had very little "task force" at SRS (maybe one in the last year), and no temp workers. We have reviewed our turnover, and we are in line with most resorts. Regarding your comments about "Pros" -- We have an annual holiday party for employees, special free meal days to celebrate our anniversary, holidays etc. In the past we have held a talent show, employee picnics, and regular fun competitions (Pumpkin carving contest, door decoration contest, best Halloween uniforms etc). And this is only to name a few.
