Pros

Sandis is a good work place to gain experience as you will have knowledgeable and experienced engineers who are willing to help you out whenever you need it. The company brings in a variety of significant projects, allowing you to become a more well rounded engineer. Employees are encouraged to go beyond their roles, providing growth opportunities for employees who put forth the effort.

Cons

Work load may become overwhelming when deadlines on different projects overlap or when there are unrealistic deadlines from clients. This usually leads to long work days when trying to meet those deadlines.

Pros

Sandis continues to bring in resume building projects; exciting projects from exciting clients. The company challenges their employees. Every engineer has the opportunity to work through the complete process of land development, and to become a very well-rounded PE. Furthering education is encouraged and supported. Lots of great personalities.

Cons

Pay less than industry standard, but you likely will make the same or better than standard with overtime and the end of year bonus. Deadlines are occasionally unrealistic. Workloads are occasionally unhealthy. Seems rare for management to recognize and/or reward employees.

Pros

Hands on with large marquee projects, encouraged to take on important roles in projects and interact with clients. Company wants employees to learn and grow, helps out with education and has an experienced work force that is willing to teach. Company has a strong team dynamic and gives employees a chance to shine. Recognizes individual effort and makes sure people get the help that they need. Is actively trying grow both the company and workforce in a positive direction. Pay and bonuses are very competitive with the market. Benefits are above industry norm.

Cons

Heavy work load where everyone is expected to carry their own weight. Needs of clients can sometimes out weigh reality of group work load.
