      The good, the bad, and the ugly at Sanmina-SCI

      Pros

      In general, Sanmina-SCI is flexible with work schedules and working remotely, depending on one's job function. The company has great potential, and there are many employees still hopeful that Sanmina-SCI's market position will improve in the near future. Recent new additions to senior leadership provide a ray of hope.

      Cons

      Sanmina-SCI does not focus on career growth and professional development for its employees. The company has struggled in recent years, and morale is low. Senior management is not effective in communicating company objectives and other information to the masses.

      Pros

      Best reason to work at Sanmina-SCI is because they pay money, not much but some.

      Cons

      Management does not recognize the hard work of the emploees. When I left, not once had the company thrown a corporate event for the employees of all departments. The company has done nothing to commend the hard work of the employees only management gets praise.

      Pros

      Pure and simple, the field of Contract Manufacturing is a tough one. Small margins make the compensation potential minimal if you are working anywhere but in top management. Out on the floor however, in shipping and receiving and in the back rooms, the people are absolutely some of the most hard working people I have ever had the pleasure to work with in my life.

      Cons

      The top executives and upper management are third world and Machiavellian in their outlook and show 0 respect for their workers. Not to mention the level of NEPOTISIM in management at Sanmina is so rampant that it smacks of collusion in the worst regard. Basically I was part of management at this company for two years and can tell you the corporate culture is sick - emotionally AND mentally and is completely spiritually bankrupt.
