Do you like fire drills

Pros

Great coworkers. Fell in love with the Spanish culture. Free parking. Great omelets in the caferteria.

Cons

The expats do not understand the US regulatory culture. This will continue to prove problematic (no way they pass the stress test next year). All software development is done in Spain. No accountability for delays. They are adopting Agile methodologies but it's Agile in name only. Death by meetings. Bottom line: micromanagement culture, late hours, little recognition. They talk the talk but don't follow through. The best way I can describe it is getting hit by a tsunami daily and trying to resolve the issue, getting 80% done and the next tsunami hits. Day after day, month after month. Very stressful.

Pros

very little unless you have a newer Manager whom seems to care, they move those to other departments

Cons

Professionalism and treatment from Managers for the one I have been with has been disrespectful. Very petty, and will the favorites that person chooses. Very disparaging and when ask for assistance only that manger can do, the answer is What, in a tone that you would not say to a dog. If they put this manager elsewhere it would help, because of length of time , they will not.

Pros

If you are seeking, "title", you will be fine. Internal pay on promotion is only 10%. Must be willing to take financial losses. Not guaranteed to bonus, which is what the company uses to prevent increase in pay.

Cons

Bias in promotion and increase of pay. Diligent workers are paid less, those with better pay are "grand-fathered" in.
