      Pros and Cons of SC

      Pros

      Great co-workers and work opportunities. Total rewards benefits are good such as compensation and 401k. Provide great family oriented events.

      Cons

      No work life balance. No training or support for position when promoted. I worked at SC for 4 years and I had 6 different supervisors. Four of them were let go - only 1 left on his own. They do not hire in my experience looking at the big picture of needs only short term goals. My last supervisor had no prior experience for the job and only spent 15 min a week with me. Leadership operates like bullies to it's employees = recipe for failure.

      Pros

      Paid direct deposit. Average benefits and time off. It's a job to go to until you can find something decent.

      Cons

      Senior management is pathetic. No reviews, if you do anything they deem as a violation of their ethics you are subject to termination without notice. So it's play by their undefined, non communicated rules or they will fire you. An employee several months ago got in a car accident in the parking garage and was fired for an ethics violation. The clear ethics violation was Santander. "Doing the right thing at the right time" Ethics. A company with no true ethical core. They will fire you because they want to when they want to. Have to work every other Saturday and some have to work until 8pm.

      Stay far away from all Santander US companies.

      Pros

      Compensation, benefits. Basically bribing people to stay on the sinking ship.

      Cons

      The bank is ran by dinosaurs that stubbornly resist change. They are using fifteen year old technology and doing everything in excel. Meanwhile, the bank is being attacked by regulators for being a complete mess.
