Pros

Decent benefits, some areas of growth depending on your skills (real & political)

Cons

Not a good work-life balance. Long hours expected for branch staff. Compensation is average and quarterly incentive amount and structure is not motivating. Limited opportunities here in New York since most non-Retail positions are located in PA and MA. There has been constant turn over for both Branch staff, Middle and Senior Management which has made it difficult for the brand to maintain a constant unified vision and path to success. There needs to be serious investment into technology and staffing for the bank to improve, however Executive Management has made it clear that such investments are not feasible.

Pros

Benefits/ 401k Paid time off Incentive Plans, depending on position

Cons

Train wreck! Change in Management is causing mass destruction! Dedicated, talented employees are gone with no warning, and all due to Politics. 6 weeks ago, we worked for Santander, today we are fearful, awaiting for the next blow. Talent is ready to walk, which leaves Managers in a difficult spot. One, two (rare) recruiters covering 5- 7 large territories. The entire process, after applying, is a joke. Talent acquisition means nothing as candidates can experience call backs 3-5 weeks after applying. Communication doesn't exist above Branch level. Teams are running short staffed for months, some have 1 -3 employees, and no support OR responses urging help is needed. New employees are fast tracked through training, sent to their location, and fed to the lions as many are expected to run the platform. HR = email If you enjoy favoritism, snobs, and your confidential conversations spread - apply today! I've witnessed shady scenes, and good employees beat down, abused, and mocked. Technology; outdated systems run slower than dial up & freeze/crash daily, branch phone lines, internet down for days, weeks, months. ATM issues didn't improve after new machines were installed. Outraged customers, consistently, techs come a day or 2 later. Customer Service: employees in contact centers will cause you to lose new customers, existing, and potential. All divisions, outside of CC's, receive anonymous surveys per month, and if 1 out of 40 questions isn't rated "highly satisfied", automatic zero. As a Leader, I appreciate surveys, as it allows coaching to to improve, but the lack of consistency, hurts perception. Hanging up on disabled clients out of frustration is unacceptable, cursing, degrading, laughing/poking fun, and accepting zero accountability to handle issues, HAPPEN DAILY!

Pros

Room for advancement the company is headed in the right direction everyone knows everyone can make some great connections even with high turnover

Cons

The goals are not balanced properly amongst the branches, and there are numerous conference calls, sometimes at five a day. Micromanaging.
