Pros

401k for part time(only after 5 yrs do they match 50%) Nice vacation time and sick time(need dr. note) Can make extra cash on the side on ecommerce sites. Some funny weird customers and coworkers. Some pretty cool supervisors. Really amazing finds. Time flies by while working there. Flexible schedule, good 2nd job, wouldn't work there full time. Yearly raises. If your gonna work thrift, might as will be Savers. Not perfect but a lot better than goodwill or others... After you stick it out you figure out how to play the game.

Cons

Ha where do I start... Way overly strenous multitasking in extreme heat for very little pay. Trying to help the helpless gets old. Every bipolar drunk hoarder in town will be giving you a hard time while your being run all over the place. Ping ponging back and forth between jobs and departments. It gets way hectic at times, multi tasking times three. Youll find yourself very overwhelmed and put in inadequate situations. Half the donations are junk. Banyard basement trash, savers becomes The city dump for lots of folks. The employee turnover is ridiculous. Most dont last but 6 months or so. It can be a very dysfunctional work environment.

Pros

Permanent work schedule Thursday-Saturday 7:30-4 Employee discount is great That's about it, not a lot of pros. I wish there was.

Cons

Practically a a sweat shop job. Very demanding, if you can't keep up you get fired. We get a New hire and they don't last long here. When you call in sick, they get mad. Always short handed. ALOT of HARD work. They have favorites that which sucks if your not one of them

Pros

standards are so low it's easy to stand out for promotion, lack of micromanagement initially, freedom to innovate, the work itself is good work if you like to use your hands

Cons

doublespeak, upper mgmt doesn't understand physics nor humans, exhausting labor and crazy hours eg, close one store at 1030 open other store at 4am once a week for a month, and 50% of my shifts were altered for three months since i was the most flexible so there was no point in posting schedule a month in advance
