Pros

Salary and benefits are competitive.

Cons

Internal politics in senior management seem to control things instead of performance. We have a new Sr. VP of Sales. He is bringing in a toxic environment to Saviynt and he just let go a really good salesperson and replaced him with a friend of his who is not qualified. Many of the people I know are unhappy and may leave. They let go some really good salespeople with no notice and Saviynt does not give any severance. They just let these people know at the end of the day, they were done and it would be their last day of pay. They also got rid of their Healthcare Team and several other teams. The product is competitive in the market but has lots of problems with deployments and support.

Pros

1. Joined the company during its initial years and learnt a lot of new things technically which I lacked in my previous job 2. There were some good folks in the company across all levels in the org hierarchy. Surrounding oneself with genuine folks is much needed.

Cons

1. My first pro is not applicable any more in Saviynt. Learning opportunities have reduced drastically. 2. My second pro could still be relevant but afaik most of the genuine folks could not stand the toxic environment anymore and left the organization. 3. What customers/analysts see in the demo are not yet built in most cases. Many of those features may never get implemented. 4. Saviynt engineering is very good in building prototypes that help with point 3 but their actual implementation lacks quality. Poor engineering leaders is the reason for this and not developers. It is good intent to groom founding engineers to be leaders but they lack engineering and team management leadership skills which seems to be root of most of the engineering issues. They should have been instead promoted as senior ICs. I have noticed a lot of new leadership hires in recent days and I hope it brings stability to the product. 5. There is a good product backlog but they are built few years late due to maintenance mode of the engineering team because of poor quality product with great features. 5. It is easy to provide a good idea for a feature/product but getting that built is not an easy task. You need a well oiled machine with good management to deliver great products. Previous CEO and current CPO are all passionate folks with good ideas. They should move into tech advisory roles and fill their positions with folks that know how to deliver an enterprise grade product and run the team. 6. A constant theme in the above points is the lack of good leaders. Star engineering and product performers cannot be just made team leaders overnight without any leadership qualities. This is the story of Saviynt's failure that made it turn into a toxic workplace. Most employees detest these leaders and are just working with the company for a salary. They would all instantly move out if they get a half decent opportunity outside. Most of them are stuck with the company due to the initial salary offer that raises them to a good standard compared to their previous job. They are worried that they cannot get a similar pay for their experience. 7. Just because they are paid a good starting salary does not mean they can be treated bad. These leaders do not have any people management skills and believe being aggressive in their own manager's eye would lead them to further growth in the company. So they push their agression down their team's throat, force them to stretch, abuse soft folks directly, abuse strong folks behind their back, focus on their personal agenda of moving up the ladder, and not really care about their team. 8. Similar stories can be seen across departments such as Product, Professional Services, Ops & Support, etc. Most VPs, Senior Directors, and Directors are not qualified to be in such esteemed roles. CxO's dole out these roles like handing out candies on halloween to ensure star performers stay with the company. This reiterates that CxO's dont know what they are doing and they have filled leadership positions with folks that also don't know what that role is supposed to do. 9. Most folks are stretched and are at a breaking point in Saviynt. They are made to believe that this is how they can get those fancy titles. They continue to work so to improve their quality of life but CxO's think that their leadership team is doing a good job. 10. HR - Request you to please not respond with a standard response like we have the best product, CRR, policies, work life balance, etc. It is either you are lying or you are completely oblivious to the real state of the company. Save yourself and me from those embarrasing standard responses. You know that there are a lot of fake positive reviews on glassdoor. Every leader in the company knows that. 11. Advice to anyone looking to join Saviynt: There are still some genuine folks in the company but they will get overpowered/influenced by the toxic leaders. I have never referred any of my friends to join Saviynt in my close to a decade experience at this company. I will not advise you to join Saviynt at this point of time. Things could improve in the future and that is something I really hope to happen at Saviynt. 12. I was one of the so called leaders of this company. I would even say my promotion to the leadership role is not right since I did not have any of the leadership skills. I was just a star individual performer. I hated my peers due to their lack of ethics and skills. Many a times I was forced to do things that are against my principles. I succumbed to them a few times and later started pushing back which resulted in me getting stagnant in my role. It was like being in a toxic relationship where you give a lot of chances to your partner and then you eventually decide enough is enough. I am in a very good company now where they genuinely care for me and ensure the work environment is compassionate. I am motivated to give my best which I did not do during my last few years at Saviynt. Self-criticism forced me to stop slacking and give my best for a while but then the toxic environment slowly took me back to slacking. 13. There are so many unethical things that happened at Saviynt which I do not want to call out. I hope things get better.
