Pros

Savvas does a great job representing themselves and their company during the initial interview and few weeks. The work itself was relatively simple and they have a great market share and will likely continue growing.

Cons

Many of the employees are ex-teachers from lower paying wages and Savvas plays to this. The salary range is abysmal and the benefits are not nearly close to market standard for this size company. How does a progressive EdTech company with a female CEO not have appropriate parental leave? Beyond that, anytime I need to speak with someone about an issue, I'm always pushed aside and do not feel this company's interview process reflects the actual day to day work.

Very meaningful work with a clear customer and market Long time, well run, WFH flexibility Incredibly smart and passionate coworkers

Cons

Executive management is out of touch with the actual humans that work for Savvas. Long time employees are not valued and underpaid for their expertise. Used pandemic to get rid of long time, valuable employees. Crushes valuable employees with vague and unachievable goals

Cons

Zero onboarding processes or consistency. Manager repeatedly verbally harrassed, micro-managed, contradicted, condescended to, crossed professional boundaries despite over 3 conversations with management and HR. There is a forced, hostile energy on the team and while the problem person (or people) are well known of, management and HR do nothing but "wish you the best in the situation improving soon". My mental health had never been lower, in my entire working life of over 20+ years. I'd never have left if I didn't absolutely dread working for this person every single day.
