Pros

-Pay is very good, especially for the area. -Benefits are also solid, and include purchasing limited/allocated bourbon at MSRP. - Diverse workforce, both in the plants and on the corporate side. Lots of women in leadership. - A cool industry to work in with the potential to work on interesting projects.

Cons

-Work-life balance is a big problem, especially at higher levels. Emails come in at all hours because management is regularly working at 9-10 pm and you are potentially on the hook to work then as well. More than once I worked until 2-3 am to meet a last-minute deadline (see below) and had to come to the office the next day. -When asked to work late, it was common to only find out at 4:30 the day of; if you have kids and need a predictable schedule, this is not the place for you. It was not uncommon to work 50-60 hours a week with no overtime for less than six figures. -Another review mentioned that “the only reward for good work is more work” and this is absolutely the case. -Chaotic and no feeling of a consistent vision apart from sales targets. The job description I was sold when interviewing did not at all match what I was eventually doing. -Management does not value their people. During my time there, I was recognized multiple times for my performance, only to later be laid off with little notice. -Departments are effectively pitted against each other; when problems arise, the goal is to avoid and assign blame rather than solve the problem. Despite this, management expects constant innovation without mistakes.

Pros

Good pay, great benefits, fun products

Cons

Way too much micromanagement, I currently spend more time reporting the sales calls than time spent actually seeing customers.
