Pros

They seemed to try and create a high standard for their employees that did mean people were competent and mostly friendly. If not overly competitive and not always inclusive. Once on shift I had a great time working and learning with peers.

Cons

As a disclaimer their store had recently opened and everyone seemed to be figuring things out still. Their average employee age was very young, due to their low wages during this time and a lack of workers, with the boomers retiring. In 2021 wages were as follows: Sales Associates $13-hour plus 1-3% commission based on where you worked. Service shop $14-hour. They only benefit part time employees got was a discount at the store after 6 months and upon my hiring lied about how much the discount would be. They had a lot of hoops to jump through to get hired; apply online, phone interview, 2 in person interviews with the same questions worded differently and finally a job offer. Then a indoctrinating on-boarding process about how great their company was. I will work hard for a company based on how they treat me not what their company has done in the past! It seemed like all anyone talked about was stuff; the biggest, newest, most expensive stuff that they wanted. It was foreign to me, and not very Montana, in my opinion. Once on shift I had a great time but their pay was low and they had the worst schedule I've ever worked. Once while I was new I was told I could leave for the day after the store closed. I clocked out and then called to be "Coded Out". A process where a manager would pat down your coat and look through your bag, strange? I got yelled at by the manager for leaving early and then had to wait 30min to leave the store while off the clock. The idea I found out later, was that everyone would help at the end of the day clean up and we all left at the same time. Pretty cool? The final nail in the coffin was after a month of working a schedule where I worked every other day of the week and had asked for a consecutive schedule, nothing happened. Even though I could have arranged it myself with all the other part time workers, they were young and to worried to change the schedule our self's and it seemed management didn't care. So farewell, I quite after doing everything in my power to make it work! Good luck and be cautious, don't let companies take advantage of you.
