Pros

Pay, my good coworkers, nice break room and coffee shop.

Cons

Toxic environment from some employees and higher-up staff. Everyone feared being fired over little things. Cannot ask off a weekend shift even for an emergency.

Pros

The coworkers are usually great. You have potential to make good money

Cons

Leadership is corrupt in areas. They are all hypocrites talking about “honesty and integrity”. They expect insane work all the time. “It’s not the time spent at home or at work it’s about the quality of time spent at both” as an excuse to make you work more and switch your schedule without warning. When they are made aware of issues they don’t do a single thing about it.

Pros

-Co-Workers are professional and for the most part make the long hours a little more fun. -It is easy to request time off. -You’re able to work as little or as long as you want for the most part. -Customers are pleasant. -Opportunity’s to advance. -Management gives you good feedback during Annual Reviews. -They give you the opportunity to request time off for holidays you don’t want to work. -Time and a half for federal holidays. -Works good with a school schedule. -Good shift options. -The meetings we have provide a since of community.

Cons

-Management is ok. Some of them do have a power trip and make you feel like you’re below them. -The internal job application needs improvement. After applying for 3 jobs, they told me they filled the position before the application close date and even before they completed all the interviews. They also do this for external applications. -The schedule can get messy and there has been incenses where people are scheduled on days they request off. There are isolated incidents and are usually taken care of by management. -The store gets busy. This is a positive and a negative as you can get overwhelmed but you also constantly stay busy. -October through December are very busy months due to holidays. -Hours get low January-March -As a cashier, you have to ask 6 questions to each customer (Greeting,Find Everything alright, personal touch, Visa, Digital receipt). I get the idea behind this however it does get a little excessive.
