I enjoyed my time as a sales associate with Scheels. Most employees are good people and the commission structure is decent.

Cons

I did not like working every other weekend, but I know that is part of retail. Upper management was very difficult to work with. Pete, the former store manager (now at the Tulsa location) and Cooper are the two that stand out the most. I know of several employees that left the company solely because of those two. Micromanagement is also woven into the fabric of the Scheels culture. If you don't buy in to becoming a full time team member you are looked at differently, regardless of performance.
