Pros

Working for Scheels was the best careee anyone could ask for. The company Family focused company and always driven to help Employees grow!

Cons

This is a retail business, so working long hours and working on the weekends are required to make the business successful. Having or starting a family made this hard to balance

Great company poorly ran store

Pros

Employee stock, benefits, decent pay for retail, a couple really experienced managers willing to teach you and help you grow, and a lot of training.

Cons

The majority of the managers are new and very inexperienced, this leads to a lot of "do it because I'm the boss and I say so" management. It is also very cliquey, you are told say hi to fellow associates in the hall it's the culture, but if you're not in the right clique most won't say hi back. Also with so many managers one will tell you one thing another will tell you the exact opposite. No way to move up unless you want to become an assistant store leader and work 50+ hours a week.
