Pros

Schellman & Company provides all the flexibility one could ask for! You are trusted from day one and no one micro-manages you in this environment. Schellman also has a variety of clients in different industries, so you're continuously learning! The benefits are above average and all employees receive quarterly bonuses along with an annual company trip!

Cons

None that I can think of.

Pros

Most companies talk about how they value employees. Schellman is the first company I have worked for that actually does. They show me my value through competitive pay, great benefits, and policies that put employees first.

Cons

Remote work can be isolating. Schellman does a great job of forming a company culture and keeping everyone socialized. This a the nature of any remote job.

Pros

When I'm not at the client, I'm working from home which saves a significant amount of commuting time. The pay is better than average, and quarterly bonuses are paid to senior associates and managers, which can be a large percentage of my pay. Schellman hosts a company trip (in addition to PTO) to somewhere relaxing, and I am able to take my wife as well. Most importantly, I feel appreciated by managers and principals for the work I contribute. It is very rewarding to know that my hard work does not go unnoticed!

Cons

Working remote has its drawbacks as well, which include the inability to mingle with coworkers and getting face time with managers and principals. Although not impossible, there are challenges and cost limitations to breach. In addition, senior associate scheduling is so tight, that there is little room for error or deviation from an engagement. If something goes amiss, likely it will carry over to the next week when I've already moved onto working on another engagement. This means I'm working twice as hard, as I'm only scheduled to work one client, but have to work on multiple. That being said, if I say something to my manager rather than just try to finish it out, he or she normally helps. If you're one to just stay quiet and expect the issues to resolve themselves, this will likely be an unhappy place for you. If you can speak up respectfully, and be honest with where you're at, upper management will help if you're unable to handle the workload.
