More Pros than Cons

Pros

Very competitive salary at the senior level, generous bonuses, vacation policy and benefits. One great benefit is that they will pay for certifications and CPEs. No weekend travel and more flexibility than others in making arrangements that fit with your rewards programs. Good processes and smart people means you can't help but get better at what you do.

Cons

Robust sales and lack of fulfillment resources at times means a pretty heavy workload. Like other reviews have said on here, if you don't like travel, this job is not for you (then again, if you don't like travel, you're probably in the wrong line of work).

Best Decision of My Professional Career

Pros

The culture is very people-centric and client-centric. Nothing is done if it doesn't add value to the project team and the clients. It is great to work at a firm that does things because they just make sense, and prepares you for success.

Cons

You will be expected to become an expert at auditing in ways that the Big 4 firms really don't expect you to be, or prepare you to be. I learned more in one year at Brightline than I did the prior 2 1/2 years at a Big 4 accounting firm. This created a very steep learning curve. The good news is that BrightLine's training and methodology prepares you very quickly.
