Pros

Benefits were the main reason I took this job. They were cream of the crop. I was given valuable information that taught me alot about the transportation industry.

Cons

Management harrased you, invaded your space/privacy, and sent out 100's of emails daily updating numbers and dumb racey pictures that they found amusing. For being as micro-managed as it was, one thing the management lacked was respect for employees. This place had no open-door policy for employees to vent without every manager knowing your business and then making things personal. Managers had clicks like high school, gave away accounts to their "drinking buddies", and if they didn't like you personally; they'd find a way to fire you by raising your numbers to where they were unattainable. Now talking money...Their incentive program would pay out quarterly. Once you attain $35,000 in margin in a quarter, they would then pay you 10% for margin after that, not including. That would then get taxed at 40% leaving you with peanuts. Nuff Said.

Pros

The 2 weeks of training as part of the hiring process in PA was pretty good, and I think sets a decent foundation for tractor trailer driving. They did use a lot of scare tactics and were very strict about cell phone use, which is probably good for new drivers. Food was bad, and double occupancy was ok if you have a good roommate.

Cons

Working conditions and preparation for new drivers in my actual work location in NY was not great. Including the lackluster manager (who has never even driven a truck?!) and who couldn't care less. The overall company felt like a high turnover conveyor belt for new employees as they do not invest in keeping good drivers and continually train and churn out new drivers. Lack of care for trucks, and overall uncaring environment. Budget cuts for drivers, equipment and no on site mechanics yet managers and upper level seems to enjoy more benefits and comforts. Get some training and then get out as soon as you can!

Pros

- coworkers can be amazing - stable job if you do the work and don't mind the corporate cog

Cons

- return to office mandate with only 2 weeks notice is trash. stating new policy is 1 call-out without PTO is a PIP write up. Some departments like managers and executives still get WFH days even though a 5-day RTO mandate is "company wide." Dodges questions and retorts that WFH was a major draw and benefit of this company and the revocation is a pay decrease - constantly increasing workload, no additional pay - cutting "costs" that decrease associate benefits and morale (no trash collection, dead plants with firing of janitorial, decreased landscaping services) - bonus structure is impossible to impact with personal or even team action - terrible management structure - rolled back "DEI" initiatives
